Channel 10 A Christian Alternative

 

Börje Claesson is an entrepreneur, father, husband, grandfather, pastor, and now TV owner.  CityChurch Älmhult, will be broadcast center for channel 10; a Christian station broadcasting from Helsingborg Sweden, but moving to Älmhult.  Börje's objective in purchasing this station and locating it in the church, was to demonstrate that this is also a church initiative, that will be reaching out and embracing Scandinavia.  Broadcasting on the Sirius network, a similar Norwegian channel has agreed to share some programing and allow channel 10 to also be broadcast on the hotbird satellite network.  This will allow Channel 10 to be seen in all of Europe and in parts of the middle east.

Finland Jan-Feb 2006

The Swedish Mission church has existed in Finland for over 120 years.  They are a group of independent churches that relate by friendship and values to the Swedish speaking Finnish population.  There are over 700,000 Swedish speaking Finns in the country.  I was asked to speak to the pastors of this movement in January, and for three days we had a great time looking at church building and Apostolic-Prophetic foundations.  It was a rich time of fellowship, even though the weather was biting cold with temperatures under -22 C.   Some of these brothers and sisters I had met before, while others were a new opportunity to make new friends.  it was great to see the inside leadership of this movement and encourage them in their building the kingdom process.  Actually, they blessed me greatly with their wisdom and hospitality.  The last week in February, Tom Bedford (kirksville Missouri-Life Church) and I, flew to Jakobstad for a conference at Ebeneser church. Accompanying us was Trey Allemang also from kirksville, and my good friend Anders Trolin from Älmhult, Sweden.  Stefan Löv, the pastor of Ebeneser is a good friend, and the church is a growing fellowship of dedicated Christians.  It was Tom and Trey's first visit to Finland, and they fell in love with the people which is easy to do.  We also showed them the local sites (Halpa Halli and Korv Göran), Tom even found a great place for his coffee mocha.  Take a look at some pictures from the Finland photo albums in the sidebar. 

Denmark 2005: God is Stirring this nation!

I have traveled to Denmark many times as Copenhagen is only two hours from my front door.  I am amazed at the supernatural hunger that are in peoples lives.  Many people from New Age and alternative modern religions are turning to the Lord in this nation and coming into the church.  I have been privileged to see and touch different aspects of the Christian community in Denmark: Lutherans to Pentecostals, and things in between.  From Copenhagen to Thisted, the nation is moving toward a breakthrough.  Different ministries from other nations are having a mostly positive effect with releasing healing and miracles (Charles Ndifon, etc.), and stirring the nation towards a breakthrough.
